The third Seminar was held on the 29th of March, 2012 at the Fiesta Royale Hotel, North Dzorwulu, Accra, under the Theme, “Increasing Women’s Participation in Governance and Democracy: Past, Present and Future.” The Hon. Minister for Trade and Industry, Hon. Hannah Tetteh was the Main Speaker whilst the Israeli Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Mrs. Sharon Bar- Li, was the Special Guest of Honour. Other Speakers included; Hon. Joe Ghartey, Member of Parliament (MP) for Essikado – Ketan Constituency and former Minister for Justice and Attorney General of the Republic of Ghana and Hon. Gifty Eugenia Kusi, MP for Tarkwa -Nsuaem Constituency and former Chairperson of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Mines and Energy.

Chairpersons of the various sessions included the CEO of Cirrus Oil Services, Mrs. Ivy Apea Owusu and the MP for Tema West, Hon. Irene Naa Torshie Addo.

A Joint Communiqué was issued at the end of the Seminar. By this Communiqué, it was resolved among others that;

The private sector should be involved in promoting corporate governance and; women with disabilities should be included in the decision making processes of the country.
