Women Against Violence Election (WAVE Ghana Three)

In the lead up to the 2020 general elections, CLARiT designed and implement the WAVE Ghana 3 Programme due to the violence and vitriol that characterized the run up to Election 2020, to build upon the successes of the WAVE Ghana One and Two Programmes to ensure a violence free Election 2020.

The Women Against Violence in Elections Three Programme was held on 12^th November 2020 at the Fiesta Royale Hotel, Accra was a resounding success.

Objectives of the WAVE Ghana Three Programme

This Programme identified the need to:

• Educate women on their role in promoting a violence free election.
• Emphasise the importance of a violence free election to all Ghanaians, especially women and children.
• Help to develop measures to strengthen electoral credibility which is key in preventing electoral violence.
