The “Christmas for Kayayei” Program was designed and implemented by The Centre for Legal Advocacy Research Education and Training, CLARiT, in 2018 under the Empowered Woman Series.

The objective of the Programme is to share Christmas cheer with our less privileged daughters and sisters – female head porters popularly known as “Kayayei”. In keeping with SDG 5 (Gender Equality) and SDG 3 (Good Health). The Programme comprises health screening sessions as well as sharing of items such as CLARiT-branded head pans, food and detergents among other items.
